Why and to whom do I write?
I’ve been writing pieces since I was in 7th grade, considering that I am opinionated and outspoken. I write because this is my way of expressing my emotions and sentiments that I couldn’t tell or show anyone. Through writing, I cope with the feelings that I couldn’t repress or contain.
Whenever I write, I feel relieved and free. It is better to write down your ideas or imaginations rather than share it with anyone who will not understand me at all.
When I was in junior high school, I have taken an interest in poetry. I wrote spoken poetries and poems for people I share memories with. One of the silliest things I have done in my high school life is that I wrote literary pieces for the guys I ended up having failed relationships.
I almost even finished a book that I wrote about some guy I loved in 2019. Turns out, I was not able to continue that story because there is no sense in writing a book for a guy who'll rather admire the other girl's paintings and portraits.
But yeah, there is no more reason to write pieces about guys that will likely break my heart, therefore I concentrate on thinking of writing a story that will pave way for my recognition.
Since then, I dream to become an author, and having my book read by thousands or millions of people. I want to bring influence and raise my advocacies through writing. Although I'm still honing my skills and not yet a master of one, I know for sure that someday I will be able to achieve that dream. I manifest, that I will publish a book in my mid-20s and leave a huge contribution to Philippine literature.
Notable Authors that Inspired me
* One of the authors that I idolize is Robert Greene. His books are greatly influential and best-selling worldwide. They are even banned in prisons. It is marvelous that through writing, people can achieve power,
* Just like our famous national hero, Jose Rizal. He proved that he can fight against Spaniards' rule by writing a novel. How amazing it is that a pen and paper can be your greatest weapons instead of guns and spears.
* Binibining Mia also known with her pen name Undeniably Gorgeous, the author of "I Love You Since 1892", made me hooked up on historical dramas and romance. Her book is published by ABS-CBN with over 100 million reads on Wattpad.
